In the bottom of the seventh inning, Moon faced a left-handed pitcher once more with two outs and a full base chance. He had a showdown with Hanwha's Cho Dong-wook to reach the full count, but this time he had a fly to the center field, missing an opportunity to garner an additional RBI.

Moon's performance against left-handed pitchers on the day was one hit from two times at bat. He recorded 24 hits from 60 times at bat against left-handed pitchers this season, accurately marking a batting average of 0.400. 

In the bottom of the first inning, LG's starter Lim Chan-kyu pitched seven innings of five hits, two walks and seven strikeouts to lead the game, beating the Hanwha Eagles by 2-1. Lim Chan-kyu had his eighth win (one loss) of this season, jumping to the lead in multiple wins. Kim Jin-seong, who neatly stopped one inning in the top of the eighth inning, secured the top spot in this category with his 15th hold of the season. Park Myung-geun, who pitched in the top of the ninth inning and allowed no run in one inning, garnered his fourth save of the season.
